This is the plight of the refugee! Someone just like you or me! Wake up in the morning just like any other day then before you know it just like that, the life you've built is taken away, how could this be my home, schools and hospitals up in flames, me and my family stuck in the middle with nowhere safe to turn, caught in gun fire, civil and social unrest, how the fuck are we supposed to survive this fucking slaughter, just wanted a family and a place to lay my head, now fighting for survival instead. the will to survive, the will to fucking fight, the will to protect those you love even though it may mean your own fucking life, there is no promise of tomorrow in any foreign land, no promise that you'll be let in, for this we take a risk and pack up what we can, spend every last dime to flee this war-torn existence, off to a better place, not knowing what’s in store, don't care what it takes, it’s our only escape plan anymore. Where will you go when there’s nowhere left to turn, your social status is valued at nothing and your home goes up in flames, nothing left of your formal life but a warzone full of hate, you hear of a place to survive you'll do whatever it takes. where will you go when there’s nowhere left to turn, social status valued at nothing and your home goes up in flames. the way to our sanctuary is dangerous costly and unguaranteed, but breathing fresh air without sulfur is worth the risk, what would you do when put in this position fleeing for your lives, don't know what’s ahead, all politics set aside, just hoping that the other side will be compassionate and lend a hand with nothing to offer back but hope for humanity and when, this attack on the public settles down who will you be left standing, what if the tables were turned and this tragic story was yours?
